Food Friday - Oreo Truffles

Wednesday was our friend Brad's birthday. Brad is a lot like Tyler in that they work at the same place and have a lot of the same hobbies. Well I LOVE birthdays. I love them because they should be celebrated and that birthday person should end the day feeling like they are awesome (which they are). I also love them because it means I get to make the birthday person a treat!

Well I made Oreo Truffles which may be the easiest to make, but look and taste like they take a ton of time and effort (which is what I call the perfect treat). Here is how it goes:

You need:
  • 1(16 oz) package of Oreos (We always use chocolate with white filling)
  • 1(8 oz) package of cream cheese (we use fat free)
  • 2(8 oz) packages of Baker's Semi-sweet baking chocolate (white chocolate or milk chocolate)

 Prepare your ingredients

Crush about 6-7 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (they can also be crushed in a resealable plastic bag). Be sure to set aside.

Crush remaining cookies to crumbs using same method.

Place in medium sized bowl.

Add cream cheese; mix until well blended.

Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter. Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet.

Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.

Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.

  1. you forgot to mention they're calorie free

  2. these look super amazing. will have to try super soon!! yay! Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your sweet words!!
